So I recently picked up two of the new Tanya Burr lip glosses. I previously owned a lip gloss from her old range in picnic in the park which I posted a review on here. It was one of my favourite lip glosses but I completely ran out of the product, I was really sad especially since she discontinued her old range. So I recently learned she actually did rebring out Picnic in the Park in her new range but I’ve been unable to find it any Superdrug stores. It must be super popular because it’s never in stock when I go into shops. I do adore that colour though so I’m determined to hunt it down at some point (either that or order it online). I also really want to get Afternoon Tea, Daydream Lip and Just Peachy which all look like beautiful colours.

Anyway the two colours I picked up were I found Nemo and Lunch Date. I found Nemo is a sort of dark coral colour and Lunch Date is a sort of taupe pink. Lunch Date has very light colour and sometimes looks clear on the lips. I’ve been wearing Lunch Date a lot more than I Found Nemo because I find I Found Nemo a lot darker and than it looks in the tube and it doesn’t suit my pale skin very well. It’d probably go great with dark skin though.

As for the formula I much prefer it to the old one in that the old one was kind of sticky and clumpy whereas this one is a lot more silky and goes on a lot smoother. The old one also kind of tasted like strawberries and cream whereas this time it tastes like watermelon, I did kind of prefer the old one but this one tastes nice too, so it’s not like I hate that taste I just prefer the old one.

So yeah I adore both these lip glosses and I’m definitely going to pick up some more at some point.

Barry M Lipstick

So I recently purchased 2 Barry M Lipsticks. I’ve never tried lipsticks from Barry M before so I was excited to try these out, especially since I’m just getting into lipsticks. For some reason lipsticks don’t really work on me and I find it card to get them to stick to my lips. These however seem to work very well for me.

The first one is named Genie and it’s a light green stick that when applied to the skin/lips comes out pink. Apparently it comes out a different shade of pink on everyone. On me it comes out in a dark rose pink. It looks really nice against pale skin and looks really nice on. I do get some weird looks when putting it on though, since it’s green but comes out pink. The other Barry M lipstick I own is in a light coral tone and is believe it or not named Coral. It’s a very nice colour that looks really nice on. I really love it and it’s become one of my favourite go to-lipsticks.

The staying power is really great with these and I find they don’t dry my lips out as much as the other lipsticks do and actually they generally make my lips feel more moisturized. So yeah these lipsticks are great, I’ve only tried these two colours so far but I really do want to try some other colours in the future because there’s are amazing.

Max Factor Lipstick

So recently I’ve been wearing this lipstick by Max Factor. It’s a very nice sort of pale pink shade called Angel. It’s such a nice colour especially if you’ve got pale skin. It comes in a small gold lipstick tube that’s really pretty and makes it look high end. I love the colour itself, it doesn’t drown me out, the colour payoff is amazing and it lasts for a long time. I will say that it does dry my lips out quite a lot so I tend to wear a lip balm both under and over this.

So colour pay off and wear time is great but it ends to dry out my lips a lot which ya know, nobody wants.

Sleek Matte Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream

11Link: [x] | Price: £4.99

Bit of a negative review here, because I didn’t actually really like this product. This the Sleek Matte  Me Ultra smooth matte lip cream in the shade petal, which is a nice dark coral shade. The colour itself is really nice and I love the packaging, nice and simply and a good size tube. The product itself however isn’t the greatest. It’s very drying and kind of feels rough on your lips when applied. I don’t know if that makes a lot of sense, but it just feels like it’s drying out and destroying your lips. The colour itself translates on the lips very well, but it’s a very thick cream that once again is very drying.

So really not fond of this product. Probably won’t be buying it again. I’ve seen others says they love this product and others have hated it so it’s all up to opinion really. But I really dislike it.

Tanya Burr Lip Gloss

IMG_0129I recently picked up this Lip Gloss from the Tanya Burr Cosmetics range.  This one is in the shade ‘Picnic in the park’ and it’s sort of a dark pink. I find it comes out a lot darker on my lips than it is in the bottle , so I usually take a separate brush (since the applicator it comes with is kind of a weird shape) and brush it across my lips to make it spread out more, and by then it’s not as bright or clumpy and gives a nice light finish. It taste like strawberries and cream and I have to fight not to lick this off my lips because it tastes so good. So really apart from the fact it’s too dark for my skin tone it’s a really nice lip gloss and I definitely want to try some more colours in the range.
